Kimberly S. Myers, Childbirth Education & Lacation Consultation

Hello!
My name is Kimberly and this is my story...
"I love being a parent and want to share this love with you too"!
I am a Certified Childbirth Educator (ICCE) and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), but it is my love of parenting that prompted me to start Pregnancy Concepts in 2014. Through Pregnancy Concepts I have been able to embrace my love and growing passion for helping families begin their journey into parenthood. With so much information on the internet, parents are constantly overwhelmed with information, which by the way is often conflicting. I have over 20 years of experience and education in early childhood development, elementary education, family health coaching, and years of hands-on experiences educating moms, dads, partners, and families about pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, and life as new parents. By taking a class and/or having a consultation with me, I will provide you with evidenced-based information presented in an understandable way that will help you in making whatever decisions you feel are best for you and your family. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to effectively address your needs.
Welcome to being the best parent you can be!

Four Services Offered at Pregnancy Concepts
1. Free Consultation
2. Childbirth Education Class
3. Lactation Consultation
Concepts of Labor & Birth
At Pregnancy Concepts, we encourage moms-to-be to take charge of their maternity care. When a woman participates in a free consultation with Pregnancy Concepts – she empowers herself with knowledge about available options during her birth experience.
This class is designed to prepare families for the labor and birth experience. This childbirth preparation class provides evidence-based information on the physiological and emotional aspects of labor and delivery through lecture, discussion, video and hands-on practice. This class will cover phases and stages of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, positioning for comfort, the role of your partner/doula support, and medication options.
4. Breastfeeding Education Class
Concepts of Breastfeeding
The class covers what most moms want to know about breastfeeding basics. Class will cover the anatomy & physiology involved in breast milk production, explanation on breastfeeding and steps on getting started with breastfeeding. Moms will also gain a better understanding of the different types of breast pumps, as well as breast pump demonstrations. This class also provides an overview on caring for your infant – normal newborn appearances, bathing, diapering and more!

We offer a full range of lactation services to support breastfeeding parents and their babies, including prenatal lactation consultations to help prepare and educate expectant moms and their families about breastfeeding. We also offer initial and follow-up lactation consultations that help address many breastfeeding challenges and identify solutions to help you meet your breastfeeding goals
